Backerkit and layout

Layout is almost done, and backerkit will be out in the next couple weeks.

We are heavily focused on getting all the material done (its been a long month), but so far so good. I dropped a huge check on the printer last week, and Chuck and Zach are hard at work along with all the converters and editors making final last minute proofing changes etc. on both this book and Tome 5e. 

I am pleased to report that we expect the books to go to the printer in early May, and then we will focus hard a=on getting you guys the PDFs asap. 

Believe it or not, we are ON SCHEDULE!!!

I wanted to thank all our fans and friends for the trust and support you have shown on this great project.

All the frogs greatly appreciate your help in hitting over 500% of our funding goal. 

Give us 2-3 weeks to recover, and we will start working on backerkit. Its a little complicated, as we will have stores and Tome of Horrors to figure out.

Rappan Athuk in Italian

Just a quick heads up that there will be an Italian language version of Rappan Athuk for Fifth Edition. This is being headed up by the same company that sells the Italian version of Mutants and Masterminds, so they have experience in the production and translations of RPGs from English.

Shipping Information Update

 Please know that if you are overseas and you pledged for the Tome of Horrors Kickstarter we are very close to having a workable solution to combine the shipping and save you some money.

As for other shipping questions to overseas addresses I am going to repost the message from Bill to the Tome of Horrors backers regarding shipping prices...

I just shipped almost 1500 books for Kobold. Believe me, we have investigated every possible outlet for lowering overseas shipping. Heck, Zach has even set up a POD service (though the books are glued, not sewn) to help defray this. Shipping rates are going up it seems every month. We only charge what it costs plus $1.50 (boxes, tape, bubble wrap and child slave lavbor (I have 6 teenagers who work for us), and nothing for my and Krista's time. 

This link shows the pricing. We don't make this up. In fact we usually lose money on the deal. In 2011, I was able to ship anywhere in the world with a large flat rate for about $45; now its more like $90. They also have "zoned" areas--so now Australia etc. costs more than say, Mexico. Below are the (sorry, unformatted) prices by "zone" for medium and large flat rates (its usually cheaper to send non-flat rate).

Getting into the home stretch!

A week to go! Please help get the word out and we will see some more stretch goals knocked off and added. 

Thank you everyone for the heroic effort to get this beast funded. Maps? Done. Art? Done. Text (about 90% done, with several chapters already turned in to layout). I ordered leather yesterday and it should ship to the printer net week or so.
